January 19th - Martin Luther King Day –– No School

Calendar Change: 
Two teacher work days were omitted from this year’s ECC calendar.  Monday, March 2 and Monday, May 11th will be teacher work days and are not school days for students.  Please mark your calendars and plan appropriately.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. 

Snow Days Reminder:
Winter weather is upon us and we will be encountering snowy drives to work and school on a regular basis.  Please note that we are a part of Adams County School District 50 and you can consult the local news stations (TV and radio) to determine if we have school during inclement weather.  If we are not listed as having a delay or cancellation, then we are open for school as usual. If District 50 is delayed then AM preschool is cancelled.  While we realize that traveling can be difficult in winter conditions, we do ask you to do your best to get your students to school even on snowy days. 

Parking Lot Updates:
Thanks to all the parents who help make our parking lot safe on a daily basis.  We’ve had an eventful first semester in front of our school with water main breaks and ice and snow and we do truly appreciate all your efforts to keep our students safe.  A few reminders:
1.  The handicapped parking spots in the front and on the side of the building are for cars that have handicapped plates or decals only.  Please observe this parking rule.

2.  Please remember to cross at the crosswalks and hold your students’ hands.

Pick Up Time:
Please remember that pickup time is 11 AM for the morning class and 3 PM for the afternoon class.  We have had many students getting picked up 15-20 minutes late on a regular basis.  This late pickup takes time away from teachers for lunch and planning time.

Welcome back everyone!  I hope that the winter holiday gave you and your family some time to be together and enjoy some restful winter days.  As you know, we had a wonderful month of December full of celebrations, holidays, and the spirit of giving.
